1) IMFly.ca
Finally we are proud to introduce to the public or new and updated website. At the site you will be able to click on a link to get updated weekly at our blog. IMFly.ca was created by Gen Nadeau and Black Butler of Loosh Creative (looshcreative.com) and we thank them for their endless patience and hard work. Coming in 2010 you will be to purchase I M Fly products from out online store which will be highly secured and guarantee great customer service. Soon you will be able to customize your I M Fly shirt by selecting the design, colour of shirt, colour of ink and type of shirt you would like. We strive to adhere to our name and be an innovative motion in the Urban arts scene.

2) Holiday Specials
For a limited time we are selling shirts starting at $15. We want you the customer to step up the plate and be even more creative. Always wonder what the ever so popular I M Fly logo would look on a yellow shirt with black ink, or how would Root of All Evil look on a turquoise shirt? Give us your order and we will go the furthest extent to make it a reality.

3) BRICC opening for Masta Ace & Edo G
Big BRICC will be opening for legendary rappers Masta Ace and Edo G at Underworld on January 23, 2010. BRICC will be performing old classics from Underground Realroad and new unreleased tracks. 5) Most importantly, we want to thank you the fans. When Rodney, C.R and Kamil started I M Fly we didn’t have a clue what to expect. Through the hard work, we’ve put forth and the encouragement from our peers we have never been so excited for the upcoming year. We promise you that we will keep pushing and stand by our slogan “Creativity Shall See no END!”

Update

Hey how's everyone doing? I hope we are all trying to enjoy the most out of the Montréal summer.

We are sending this newsletter to update you on what's going on with Innovative Motion (Motion Inovatrice). We would like begin by saying that this summer was a great success for us and our fans.

Collection #3
We are currently working on our 3rd Collection (yes already!). Hoddies will be added along with 4 new hand drawn artisitc shirts. We want everyone looking there very best for the new school year.

Miss Tee

Don't be decieved by her looks, Miss Tee is an up and coming artist on the Montreal Urban scene that brings soul and thought to her music. She has been featured on an official remix to Mc Mario hit "You spin me right 'round". The video located above is her performance at H&H Entertainment and Innovative Motion hip-hop on the rocks. Performing for the first time her next lead single entitled "Take it to the Bank". For more info on Miss Tee click on the link located to the right of the page. With Miss Tee and Innovative Motion we will ensure that "Creativity Shall See no END!"

R.I.P Sean Fox Fraser & Ricky Zieba

Listen to the acoustic sounds of Sean Fox Fraser, may he rest in peace along with Ricky Zieba. Both were Concordia Football members who's lives ended sooner then expected. They had a mountain of potential yet to be tap into. While watching this video remember that everyday is a gift, and shouldn't be taken for granted. Freedom isn't free.

The Birth of a Prince

The date you are born is a pretty important day that you’ll never remember.  Thank god for that.  We all need to be born to exist, but there are many other days that are much more important that shape the kind of person you end up becoming.  A young boy learns how to play guitar at the whorehouse that he hangs out at and James Brown is “born”.    A teenage girl listens to a few old blues albums and Janis Joplin is “born”.  I was raised on TV, People Magazine, Nintendo, and Crystal Pepsi so it was hard to narrow it down, but after a few minutes of hard thinking I was able to pinpoint the exact “birth date” of the Fresh Prince of Montreal.

In 1995 Shawn Kemp was everything an eleven year old kid wanted to be.  He was tall, blocked shots and could dunk.  For the 95-96 season Reebok decided to give Shawn Kemp his own shoe called the Kamikaze.  I had to be the first person with this pair of shoes, not everyone liked them the design was a bit ugly and the shoe was heavy, but I had to have them.  

I exhausted every avenue, I had to get this shoe, but being 11 means a few things.  You can’t drive, you aren’t allowed to be by yourself, and it’s illegal for you to work.  These are key things when you have to earn enough money to buy a pair of shoes, so I begged my mom day and night for these shoes.  Now I know what some of you (white people) are thinking. 

                “Why didn’t you save up your allowance and get them?”

Or

                “Why don’t you just buy it with your chore money?”

WRONG

                As a young black kid those two ways of acquiring money are not an option.  This is because we do chores because our parents make us, and the incentive for doing things around the house means not getting a beating.  

  

Also allowances in a black household is you get to take the cans back and buy something from the store with it.....unless your mom needs to buy groceries with that bottle return money.

Anyways after months of begging one day before a basketball game there was a box with size 11 Reebok Kamikazes in there.  I was the only one in the world (the 6 local elementary schools) to get them.  As soon as I opened the box and had a chance to look at them I thought they were extremely ugly and regretted the purchase, until I tried them on.  They looked real Fly, but only on me.  This was the day I was “born” and was also my earliest encounter with swagger.  Ever since that morning I have been a junkie for the newest coolest shit.  It’s worked out real well (Xbox 360, Nike Prestos, Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and really poorly (Sega CD, and NASCAR Race Jackets).

So basically what I plan on doing on here is posting what I think is cool, and posting my general opinion on things.  I think women, shoes, clothes, and videos are cool, and my opinions will pretty much consist of how I feel about any of those at any given time.  Why am I doing this?  One reason is because I live in the greatest era there is.  I am able to find anything I want just by typing it into a keyboard, I have an inconceivable amount of information at my disposal , people are constantly finding new and improved ways to be creative, everyone gets along well enough, and women are as beautiful as they’ve ever been.  If you can’t find something interesting to blog about in 2009 there is something wrong with you.  The last reason is to help out my boy Kamil. If me making fun of you or someone like you on the internet generates buzz for IM Fly then I win. 

This should be fun and I hope you guys enjoy laughing with me.

I M Fly show a success!

Last Saturday, May16, 2009 I M Fly launched it's new collection of shirts at the trendy urban bar Macallans located in Dorval. A large turnout of 250 plus west islanders showed up to listen to the sounds of Side C , SRH, BRICC, David Hodges and Group Therapy Collective. We would like to thank all those involved such as the artists, bartenders, dj's and of course volunteers.

Also in other news I M Fly will now be available at Sub-V located at 5666 Sheerbrooke Street in N.D.G. We will be forever grateful for Sub-V, and we promise they being a local supplier of urban art and accessories will be the first to have future collections of I M Fly. "Creativity Shall See no END!"

Updates

We have just signed a contract to begin selling our shirts online through one of our producers. We also are in talks with a local and highly respected urban store in Montréal to have our shirts sold from their within the next week. Alsoooooooooooooooo....we have started working on our website which will have much more detailed information on the premise of Innovative Motion (http://www.innovative-motion.com/); it aint' much but it's a start! Finally but most imporantly C.R Dubé and Rodney have begun drawing for the second collection.
